Gotta go in for a quick fix!

Therapy at 11 - meet with Paley at 12:10 - got update from therapy re: status - has improved greatly over last two weeks, but still has one tight knee and ankle. When met with PA today advised biggest concern was that legs are straight and even. Paley came in advising that he does have about 5-10ยบ of knock knees. The angle is coming from femur and only way to correct it is to do new break just above kneecap, and basically open a wedge that will alter angle and correct knees. He is also concerned about left ankle as flexion has not returned. So, tomorrow we are going in for another quick surgery. This will completely correct knees and give his ankle (perhaps both) an easier time of adjusting to new limb length. After this he will get back all his ankle flexion that he started with. Surgery time is 1:30 pm, have to be there for 11:30. He also advised to still keep to 2 hrs therapy a day until leave. So - we shall talk to you tomorrow and let you know how things went, Matthew hopes to make it a day surgery. Ciao!
